Why do I have to authorize Slaask to access to my Slack account?
Slaask is a customer service app fully compatible with Slack.
Since it is fully integrated with Slack, in order to completely enjoy the Slaask service it's necessary to authorize Slaask to access your Slack account. Also, authorization gives Slaask legitimate access to your data. (Knowing what kind of user data Slaask stores)
What are the authorizations needed by Slaask to work smoothly?
Here is the list of authorizations needed by Slaask:
- Confirm your identity on your Slack account.
Slaask needs to know who you are in order to properly link your Slack account with your Slaask account.
- Access and modify information about your public channels
Slaask needs to access and modify basic information about your public channels (e.g. names, topics, purposes, and creation date), as well as be able to archive and create new channels. Slaask needs such access in order to create public channels for visitors who initiate a conversation with you.
- Access information about your team
Slaask needs to access information about your team, including name, email domain, and icon in order to use this information directly through your live chat widget.
- Send messages as Slaask
Sometimes, and for specific conversations, Slaask needs to send messages to your team.
- Access your team's profile information
Slaask needs to access profile information for all users on your website, including names, email addresses, and contact information. This will help Slaask to identify your team members. Also, it will provide you a clear overview of your team members in the “Team” section of your Slaask account.
