What is a widget?
“Widget” refers to a small application that can be installed and executed within a web page, allows leads to turn personal content into dynamic web apps that can be shared on websites where the code can be installed. Slaask widget enables you to chat with your leads and clients in real time, and directly from Slack. Slaask widget can be installed on top of Slack simply by following the steps provided at Slaask.com.
There are different ways to use Slaask across multiple domains.
With a unique Slaask account you can either:
- use the very same Slaask widget on several domains
- create a specific widget for each of your domains or sub-domains or site sections.
How to choose between these 2 options?
If your websites have similar (or the same) graphic interfaces:
We recommend you use the very same Slaask widget for each of your websites. That way, you'll save time by not having to customize multiple Slaask widgets.
If your websites have different graphic interfaces:
We recommend you create a specific Slaask widget for each of your websites. That way, via the Slaask widget customization form in your admin interface, you will be able to align the look and feel of each of your widgets to each of your websites using a single Slaask account.
You can not only adapt the look and feel of each of your widgets but you can also adapt all the words and the image you are using to personify your chat agent in the Slaask widget.
How to use 1 widget across multiple domains?
With Slaask, one widget (meaning the same widget) can be used seamlessly across unlimited subdomains and domains.
Even if your leads go from one of your subdomains or from one domain to a different domain, if you have Slaask on all of these domains and subdomains, all of this lead's messages will stay in the very same Slack channel.
