To make sure you receive notifications when your leads/customers initiate new chat sessions via Slaask, please check this checklist first, before moving forward with the article below.
To configure notifications of your Slack account, simply click on the bell icon in the top left-hand corner of your Slack interface and select “Your notification preferences”.
Set your Slack notifications to “All activity”
We recommend you to set your Slack notifications to “All activity” to ensure you’ll be notified, whenever there’s a new message sent from your Slaask widget (and when your Slaask widget is online).
Also, please set a sound for your Slack and Slaask notifications. Obviously, don’t choose “None” or “Mute all sounds”, if you want to receive sound notification. ;)
Set your Slack notifications to “Only direct messages and highlight words”
If you choose “Send notifications for: All activity”, you will get notifications for everything that happens on your Slack. However, if you prefer to receive notifications only for messages related to you (including messages from your leads/customers), you can:
- Choose “Send notifications for: Only direct messages and highlight words” for your Slack.
- Enable a feature called “Prefix messages from a visitor with @channel” from your Slaask account. (How does this feature work?)
